The Inclusion Team at Fairgreen ensures that all individuals are supported to be the best that they can be and supports the development of a sense of belonging for all members of the community.

At Fairgreen International School the student is at the centre of a whole school approach which ensures that the needs of the individual are always put first. This starts with an inclusive admissions process and is supported by the high-quality teaching and learning that is provided by our teachers and the interventions run by the inclusion team.
The inclusion team works with a host of external agencies such as Speech and Language therapists, Occupational Therapists and Counseling Psychologists who support students in developing skills, overcoming barriers and developing their strengths. These professionals support the development of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), which focus on the individual, small steps of progress, which guarantees that all students have access to appropriate support and curriculum expectations.
English Language Learners (ELL) Support
At Fairgreen, we use a co-teaching inclusion model to meet the needs of ELL students in the classroom. ELL support is developed through the use of the WIDA instructional model. The WIDA program provides a program of rich standards, learning materials and assessments that we use to identify and track the development of students throughout the year. Fairgreen ensures that ELL students are immersed in language rich environments designed to support their needs. A variety of classroom organizational and instructional strategies are implemented in all classrooms, supported by the ELL department. This ensures that all students are supported and challenged throughout the various stages of language acquisition. Parents and guardians are an integral part of the process and as such we believe that communication between home and school is fundamental. At Fairgreen we believe all teachers are language teachers and it is in this belief that we all share the responsibility of supporting our ELL students.
