Early Childhood
Based on the philosophy of the IB Primary Years Programme*, the approach in Early Childhood at Fairgreen is interdisciplinary; exploratory and hands-on inquiry. Early learners of ages 3 and 4 years old explore and make connections across subjects including Literacy, Maths, Science, the Humanities, Arabic, the Arts and Physical Education. Topics related to sustainability are integrated into the curriculum and teachers encourage a deep connection to the natural environment by facilitating outdoor educational opportunities and using the extensive child-friendly facilities available in The Sustainable City.
In our Early Childhood section, children benefit from being taught by trained, qualified and experienced specialist teachers employing the best classroom and teaching practices from around the world. They are supported by a teaching assistant and helper, ensuring that your child receives the individual attention and support he or she needs in the classroom.
Children are encouraged to explore ideas, develop personal and social skills, build curiosity, take responsibility and gain greater independence as they move through these early stages in their education. Learning through play is a major component of their experience. They learn to read and at the same time learn how to ask questions, solve problems, and work cooperatively and positively with other children in a safe and secure environment.
Fairgreen International School is an IB World School, authorized for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Careers-related Programme (IBCP) and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP).
