After School Activities
At Fairgreen International School, our after-school programme enhances our students’ interests and provides them with a valuable and enjoyable educational experience. Run by specialist teachers, qualified instructors or selected activity providers, we offer a wide range of activities to motivate and inspire our students.
Our ASA program at Fairgreen runs in 8 week (Term 3 runs 7 weeks) blocks that correspond with the school terms. There will be a dedicated sign up period for each term in which parents will have the opportunity to select their preferred choice of ASA. We use a preference based method, where up to three choices per day are selected, to ensure everyone has a fair chance to be allocated to the activity. First come, first serve often fills up before everyone has even had a chance to make selections.
ASAs are split into 2 categories, Teacher led and External. Teacher led ASAs are free of charge and are run by the Fairgreen teachers. External ASAs are operated by our ASA partner, Stryx Sports. They bring a vast range of activities to Fairgreen including, NBA basketball, Get Set Go Kids, ISM Tennis, Parkour, Ballet, Gymnastics and Funkeynastix. All activities will have a minimum and a maximum number of students so it is important to make sure you sign up during the correct period.
All activities include academic pursuits that expand upon the school’s educational programme. Students can explore their love of reading in a themed book club, or explore the possibilities of technology through coding and robotics. Our unique location in The Sustainable City provides excellent opportunities for gardening, farming, and food science clubs and activities that promote environmental awareness and community service.
We use SchoolsBuddy to manage our ASA program, it's a great app that manages the sign ups and generates a diary for all students who have been allocated to an activity. This will be your main point of call to check what activities your son/daughter have been allocated and what days they are running.
The students will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Parents can make one selection for each student per day. The selection box will show the number of places left, and if the group is full, then parents will only be able to select a Waiting List option. The SchoolsBuddy system will automatically notify parents when a child has been allocated an ASA.

- Fri, Nov 28: Term 1 ASA external ends

- Fri, Mar 13: Term 2 external ASA ends (Timings will be shared once they are confirmed. Please note that there will be no ASA buses during Ramadan)
Please note that students will be allocated to an ASA on a first-come, first-served basis. If your child is selected for a sports team we will notify you before January 12, 2025, kindly email asa@fairgreen.ae to release any ASA slots you may have reserved.
