We are happy to answer any questions you may have about Fairgreen International School. Below please find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Please reach out to our Admissions Director if you have additional quesitons or to begin the application process. 

1. Where is the school located?         

The school is at The Sustainable City, Dubai (TSC), a pioneering sustainable development, located at the intersection of Emirates Road (E611) and Al Qudra Road.

2. When did the school open?

The school opened in September 2018.

3. Will the school be accredited/authorised?

Fairgreen International School is an International Baccalaureate World School, authorized for the Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme, and we are in candidate status for the authorization of our Careers-related Programme and Diploma Programme, expecting full certifcation by June 2021.  Fairgreen will also be subject to inspection by the Dubai Schools and Inspection Bureau (DSIB) under the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

4. Describe the curriculum of Fairgreen International School?

The school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum aligned to English National Curriculum standards and delivered by a truly international faculty.  The IB Continuum includes:

•              IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)

•              IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)

•              IB Diploma Programme (IBDP)

•              IB Careers-related Programme (IBCP)

5. How is this school different?

With a purpose-built campus that utilizes solar power for all of its energy needs, recycles all of its water for agricultural use, and implements waste separation, Fairgreen is Esol Education’s first sustainability-focused school.  Drawing upon Esol’s 40-year tradition of educational excellence and incorporating sustainability as an integral part of its educational programme, Fairgreen features hands-on project-based learning, innovative teaching methods, technology initiatives and worldwide partnerships with leading sustainability experts and organizations.

6. What are the fees?

Fairgreen International School’s fees range from AED 39,000 to AED 88,000.

7.  Which grades are available?

Fairgreen International School currently offers grades Pre-KG to Grade 10, with Grade 11 opening in August 2021 and Grade 12 being added in 2022

8. How many students in the school?

At full capacity, the school will have 1,200 students. We currently have more than 500 students enrolled from around 60 nationalities.

9.  Class sizes per grade?

In PreK our maximum is 18 students, in Kg1 and Kg2 a maximum of 20 students and from G1 onwards a maximum of 25.

10. Who are the school operators?

Fairgreen International School has been established by Esol Education, a well-renowned operator of K-12 international schools, with an experienced leadership team, and a 40-year track record of establishing and running successful international schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Cairo and Lebanon. Over 10,000 students study at Esol’s schools every day.

In Dubai, Esol Education established Universal American School and Deira International School over 12 years ago. Esol also established and has operated the American International School in Abu Dhabi for over 22 years.

11. Describe the facilities of the school?

With a state-of-the-art environmentally friendly campus, Fairgreen International School is designed with ample green spaces throughout the school, and facilities that provide opportunities for students to make rich, meaningful connections to sustainability on every step of their academic journey.
