From our Head of Counselling Dear Parents,
"You have to say a clear goodbye in order to say a clear hello" - Dr David Pollock, Sociologist, Author, Public Speaker
As you can see, there has been a great deal of work taking place behind the scenes, but it has been very challenging to share conclusive plans with you due to the uncertainty of many determining factors, which are beyond the control of our school. I hope that you find this helpful in preparing with your child for the end of the academic year and that you can also find your own ways to celebrate their accomplishments during e learning. I know that in these challenging times, not all endings are what we wish for, and that some families have experienced loss, and adversity due to job insecurity. If you feel you or your child needs any support and wish to talk with me, please email me at counselling@fairgreen.ae.
Stay safe and well,
Highlights: VIDEO RECORDING OF THE IB SPECIAL PROJECTS PARENT WEBINAR
In case you missed last week's parent webinar on "The International Baccalaureate: The Required Projects, " here is the VIDEO RECORDING of this informative webinar. The IB programme requires students to complete special projects at certain education milestones along their journey, including the PYP Exhibition, MYP Personal Project, and the pre-graduate CP Reflection Project and DP Extended Essay. The webinar included a brief overview of these projects with a primary focus on the MYP Personal Project, which is relevant for all current G9 families and for any Fairgreen parent looking to understand what lies ahead for their children in lower grades.
