All parents, teachers and staff MUST submit this form regardless of whether or not you have traveled outside of the UAE.
IMPORTANT: Please use the email travelform@fairgreen.ae as the submission for "School Email" entry on the form
IMPORTANT: The DHA have updated the form for people who do not have an Emirates ID. This is no longer a mandatory entry, so now everyone can fill out the form, even those awaiting their Emirates IDs.
Many thanks to the parents who have stopped by the school to meet with our KHDA liaison to sign the mandatory KHDA Parent School contract, and to those who have completed this online.
All parents MUST sign the KHDA Parent School contract by September 15 to indicate your choice of face-to-face learning in class or distance learning.
For returning families, this contract would have been emailed to you directly by KHDA. The email will prompt you to sign the contract electronically. If you would rather stop by the school to take care of this, please do so at your convenience during office hours.
For new parents, if you have not recieved an email from KHDA, then you still need to complete your registration paperwork. Specifically, you need to meet on campus with our KHDA liaison to submit in person your child's Emirates ID, one parent's Emirates ID, and your child's transfer certificate from their previous school. Please stop by during office hours or you can arrange a meeting via ofarahat@fairgreen.ae.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
FROM OUR HEAD OF COUNSELLING Safeguarding Alerts
From time to time, school counsellors become aware of harmful material on social media that is trending around the world. I would like to be transparent with you and let you know about some concerns that are arising globally around child safeguarding/protection. As parents we do need to be able to have open communication with our children that some videos online are harmful to their psychological wellbeing and potentially their safety. We know that during lockdown, children have had more access to technology and therefore the potential to make contact with material that can be for example: offensive - 'hate speech', violent content which can include 'fighting', and recently 'suicide videos' hidden within Tik Tok. We also know that during lockdown there has been a rise in child abuse images online, which can make children targets from sexual abusers.
Some of you may also be aware that recently we have seen toy companies develop dolls eg. LoL and Na na that have been criticised for exposing children to sexualised content. The National Centre for Sexual Exploitation USA has called upon toy companies to exercise more responsibility and be more aware of the impact their products can have on child sexual abuse. Please check out the information below about Tik Tok to help guide you as parents.
Another useful resource: https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/ (advice for specific ages) outlines the risks online and how to manage them.

HIGHLIGHTS G7s LOOK AT THE CAUSE AND EFFECTS OF GLOBALIZATION
Individuals & Societies Teacher Mr Hurst-Mawasse recently asked his G7s to research the causes of globalization. Students broke out into groups, each taking on one four of the causes, conducting research, gathering data and presenting their findings to the class. These future leaders are beginning to envision how communities across the world can positively manage their interdependence and their integration into the global society while maintaining peace and social, environmental and economic sustainability. Great job!
