See Above for Meeting Point More about the "Overcoming Anxiety" Parent Webinar Helping Young People Cope with Stress and Anxiety: Many young people experience anxiety from time to time. It's particularly common to experience some anxiety in response to stressful situations and changes in our lives. Small amounts of anxiety can actually be protective and can help young people deal with some overwhelming situations. However, high amounts of anxiety across a range of situations can take a toll on young people's wellbeing and can interfere with their daily lives. This webinar is aimed at supporting parents and educators to support young people who experience anxiety. It will explore young people's experience of anxiety, the role anxiety can play in their lives, the difference between functional and problematic anxiety, and how parents and educators can support a young person who is experiencing anxiety. It is difficult to avoid stress and anxiety, but we can play an important role in helping young people learn how to manage anxiety so that stressful situations in their lives become less overwhelming.
